Website builders are a perfect solution for individuals and small businesses seeking to start a website without hiring a developer. However, finding the best website builder can be tricky for beginners.
As the lead UX/UI Designer for Ntirety, my goal was to create a seamless user flow and onboarding sequence for a new website builder we were launching. While the website builder product was already in final beta, the experience surrounding onboarding for the product needed to be researched and developed.
We wanted to ensure that the website builder was easy to use for absolute beginners (non-techy users). Therefore, getting the user onboarding correct (picking templates, entering information) was critical to a customer's initial impression.
Luckily, there are countless phenomenal builder products out there that I could glean design patterns and insights from.
The offerings I spent most time researching were builders that seemed appealing to non-technical folk, to best match our target market.
